knoxhack/ECHO-Release-Index is the catalog that connects launcher channels, Ashfall edition metadata, module artifact families, GitHub Releases, checksums, and the website download portal.

What It Owns

• channels/alpha/release-manifest.json for the full release snapshot.
• channels/alpha/repositories.json for repo-level product, release, and asset summaries.
• packs/ashfall-native-edition.json for Native pack metadata.
• packs/ashfall-neoforge-edition.json for NeoForge pack metadata.
• packs/ashfall-standalone-edition.json for Standalone pack metadata.
• Module release schemas used by launcher and release tooling.

Website Snapshot

The website generates data/release-index-snapshot.json from the local Release Index checkout. That keeps the public download page working even when raw GitHub access to the source repo is private or temporarily unavailable.

Launcher Channel Use

Launcher clients read channel metadata, select a product and edition, then use the referenced release and pack manifests to find exact assets. The Release Index is therefore the shared source between players, website downloads, and release validation.

The current website product model covers all target repos: Launcher, Modules, Ashfall Native Edition, Ashfall NeoForge Edition, Ashfall Standalone Edition, Release Index, Native Platform, Standalone Runtime, SDK, Developer Studio, Addons Studio, and Platform Website.
